Family Health Centre, California Project length: 9 months Year: End of 2010/Beginning of 2011 Following the buy out of this California For Profit Rural Health Clinic in the Owens Valley, CA, FQHCmd was called in to do a review of the current business model and the potential of becoming an FQHC. After a complete financial review, FQHCmd was able to reduce costs by 22% annually (approximately $250,000). FQHCmd also provided and helped institute Clinic and Human Resource Procedurs as well as a complete overhaul of the corporate governance and compliance areas. With the help of FQHCmd, Family Health Centre became a Not for Profit clinic and applied for 330 funding in late 2010. FQHCmd wrote the Grant proposal, and gained strategic partnerships with local dental providers, and other partnered organizations as well as met with the local Health and Human Service officials and other health care and community organizations to garner support. FQHCmd also helped to recruit and train board members that would represent the community and target populations, institute finanical and administrative controls, work with local management in developing the Health Care Plan and Financial Plan, and performed an engineering review of the local clinic structures as well as produce detailed floor plans.
FQHCmd is currently working with FHC to recruit additional physicians and other healthcare professionals as the clinic continues to grow.
Community Health Services, Ohio Project length: 120 Days Year: 2011 FQHCmd recruited two OBGYN's for this FQHC who was expanding services in coordination with a local hospital. After the local hospital was unsuccessful with recruiting efforts for over 18 months, FQHC was able to successfully recruit within 120 days. FQHCmd is still currently working with this FQHC in the areas of physician recruiting.
Vermilion County Health Care, Illinois Project length: 90 days Year: 2011/2012 FQHCmd completed and filed an FQHC Look Alike status application for this east central Illinois facility. Besides working with management to institute clinical, financial and human resource procedures as well as corporate governance programs, FQHCmd wrote and submitted the FQHC Look Alike application and worked with local management to engage third party providers of dental and mental health healthcare delivery systems as partners of this new healthcare center.
FQHCmd also worked with local management to complete the financial and healthcare plan and worked with the facilities outside accountants and attorneys to gain 501 (3) c status for a charitable foundation to support the health center. FQHCmd also completed the center's website and it can be found here.
We have also completed numerous multi media presentations used for community presentations and fund raising for VCHC.
Family Health Services of Erie County, Ohio Project length: Less than 30 days Year: 2011 FQHCmd completed design and implementation of this FQHC's web presence. We included downloadable forms, online appointment and cancellation ability, Online Sliding Fee Scale application as well as training for the staff to update and maintain the site on going.
Southern California Medical Center, California Project length: Ongoing Year: 2011/2012 FQHCmd was contracted to complete the FQHC Look Alike application for this long running-well respected health clinic in southern California. FQHCmd has also taken on an ongoing role in reorganizing the billing, finance and administration areas as well as produced board presentations and information for fundraising and donations. This ongoing project includes strategic planning, productivity improvements and overall administrative/finance consulting as well as completing a robust Look Alike application in a timely and cost effective manner . SCMC, with multiple locations is fully committed to continue providing services to the underserved and FQHCmd has committed both time and resources to its success. The FQHC Look Alike application to a little over 120 days to complete and fundraising activities and organizational restructuring to maximize revenues are being concentrated on currently. A partner with FQHCmd is currently the Chief Financial Officer of SCMC during this overall transition period and we expect the long-term relationship with SCMC.
Rocky Mountain Regional Health Services, Silverthorne, CO Project length: 4 months and ongoing Year: 2011/2012 FQHCmd was contracted to look at the potential of starting a Non Profit clinic and an FQHC Look Alike for a regional health care delivery system. We worked with management putting together financial modeling and "what-if" scenarios. After looking at different scenarios, the decision was made to move forward with the FQHC Look Alike application. Many boards have engaged us on an ongoing yearly basis.
